The tool was simple and easy to use. Because the blade is made of a non-metallic, composite material, it did not knick, scratch or do any damage to my graphite shafts. At first, I was a little skeptical that the blade would remove the tape, but it did much better than I thought. I have both graphite and steel shafts; so, I wanted to err on the side of caution when choosing a metal or non-metallic bladed tool. I think that a metal blade would be fine to use on steel shafts and more than likely a little faster, but you would still run the risk of scratching the surface of a metal shaft. With my mix of clubs, I would definitely go with a non-metallic bladed tape removal tool.
